Hever Castle Wedding In The Italian Gardens And Loggia

Hever Castle drawbridge wedding photo

What a fun wedding this was. You know instantly at the brides home how the day is going to pan out and we were made very welcome right from the start and have to say what a fun and jovial FOB the brides father was, non stop joking which just had us in stitches. This weekend was scorching hot, well for Engand it was and it was a nice local wedding for me at one of my favourite places in the South East, the Italian Gardens at Hever Castle just outside Edenbridge, Kent. The Loggia is where the civil wedding … Continue reading

  1. Paul, I’m loving this so much I’ve gone through them twice! The head and shoulders portrait of the bride against the background with the soft light is a blinder!

  2. Paul Johnson says:

Lorenzo, thanks very much for you kind words.

  3. Steve Brill says:

Beautiful work Paul. Your client must be blown away with the images.

  4. Anna Pollins says:

Mike and I are delighted with the photographs that Paul did for our wedding. He made us feel very comfortable from the first meeting and on the day it was great to have someone who could combine professionalism with sense of humour (and who could put up with my father’s terrible jokes!). Paul and his assistant managed to be there taking photos without being obtrusive, and he got all the group ones we wanted as well as plenty more. The venue is beautiful in and of itself so we knew there were some great photo opportunities but these exceeded expectations and we’re really happy with them – the biggest problem we have is choosing which ones for the album or printing! Thanks Paul for helping us to have a record of this special day!

  5. Carmen Maria Luis says:

Spectacular photographs, very spontaneous and natural. As a wedding photographer I congratulate you on the great work. Greetings from Tenerife

  6. I am loving the architecture and gardens that was fully taken advantage of. Gorgeous images!

Bridal Photography Awards

bridal photography awards

I was going through some recent weddings looking for potential photos to enter in to some awards in 2013. Here’s one I am hoping will do quite well. Shot with off camera flash, assistant was hand holding the flash just out of picture to the right of the bride. Off camera is one of my favourite ways to create photos.

Beautiful shot Paul, so very elegant indeed, great light! Good luck with the competition.

  2. A stunning shot Paul, and a wonderfully natural setting (bought to life with the help of a little technological and creative knowhow)

Hever Castle Wedding Photography Of Nadia & Darren.

Nadia & Darren At Hever Castle

First stop of the day was to do some bridal preps shots at the Marriott Hotel in Lingfield. We made our way into the hotel suite to meet Nadia and her impressive number of 12 bridesmaids. The floor to ceiling windows created a lovelly quality of light in the room to make some beautiful bridal shots, the contemporary décor complimented the bride’s fantastic wedding dress, and the open space in the room allowed us to take some wonderful group shots of the bride with her bridesmaids. It was an inspiring environment for a contemporary style of wedding photography. That red … Continue reading

Wedding Photography At Botleys Mansion Of Karen & Tristan

We recently had the pleasure of photographing Karen & Tristan at the beautiful Botleys Mansion in Surrey. Weather was looking rather grey on our arrival but it turned to a much brighter day later in the day. I have attended 100s of venues throughout the UK and what I was impressed with at Botleys was the very professional level of service of the staff, they were very helpful and the food came out to all the guests within a few minutes so all got to eat together unlike another recent wedding when the top table had finished their main course … Continue reading

Wedding Photography At Hever Castle

wedding photography at Hever Castle in Kent in the Italian Gardens

I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Victoria & Igor at the beautiful Russian Orthodox Church, South Kensington followed by a reception at Hever Castle in Kent. It was a very wet day but Victoria was up for photos outside at Hever despite the weather conditions. In may ways it sets the scene for some more unusual wedding photography as it offers opportunities for some lovely photos if the bride is brave enough. I hope you enjoy this sampling of the couples shots of the day.

Olivia & Nick The Old Kent Barn

Well I hadn’t disappeared off the face of earth, some of my regular visitors may have wondered ‘how come no posts’. My wife came to work with me last November on marketing and sales for our studio portrait side of the business and she has kept me very busy with portraits; so little time so much to do:) Anyway I had to post some from last weekend’s wedding at the Old Kent Barn near Canterbury of Olivia & Nick’s wedding. They both were so much fun to photograph and both enjoy playing for the camera. Olivia was keen on doing some … Continue reading

Sally & Kyle’s Wedding Photos At Eastwell Manor

It’ s been a while since I was last at Eastwell Manor and so it was a great pleasure to be there on Friday. The staff are very pleasant and made everyone very welcome. Sally & Kyle were very lucky to have had such a fantastic day with the weather as last week was pretty bad on the whole but Frday was exceptional. For us it was a very busy day starting at 9am in Woolwhich and then finally leaving at around 9.15pm but it was a great fund wedding to shoot covering the Chinese games in the morning although … Continue reading

Kate & Frazer – Turkey Mill Wedding Reception Venue In Kent

Kate & Frazer’s wedding reception at the beautiful setting of Turkey Mill is one of my favorite outdoor settings for a wedding reception. With fine weather you can’t get a much more spectacular setting than this to take photographs at. Here’s a few for everyone to enjoy from about 1000 photos taken on the day.
